I’ve spent the past 12 years working in Creative Content and Talent Management for the music, television, and digital industries, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that I’m only successful when the talent, brand, advertiser, or publisher I’m working with is successful. From bringing the right team of people together to giving recommendations for how to make content even more successful in the market, I’m the one who can make sure a creative project comes to life—and I’m currently looking for my next project (more on that here)!
I’m a firm believer in developing deep relationships with the talent I work with so that they’re happy with the experience and want to work with us again. Whether that’s being a shoulder to cry on when her fiancé ends the engagement (yes, it’s happened), or being the one ordering another round of celebratory cocktails after we successfully wrap a project, it’s my job to be there.
But I don’t just support the people I work with. I collaborate with them to come up with ideas for creative projects to pursue next. I strategize with them to determine the best way to get the work out there. I keep everything that's going on organized to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. I think of our work together as a partnership, where I’m doing what I do best to help them do what they do best.
Plus, I’m not afraid of the nitty gritty involved in making that flashy final product happen. Whether it’s getting real about whether an idea is a good one, identifying the correct talent and negotiating their deals, or helping identify strategic partnership and marketing opportunities to spread the work further, I’m ready to do the work so we can all to end up with a project we’re proud of.
From brands such as Covergirl, Glade, and Disney that I helped create campaigns for, to the amazing musicians I supported in the publicity department of Columbia Records and Jon Landau Management, to the foremost news journalists, unscripted television producers, and reality TV stars I represented at Bienstock, a United Talent Agency Company; from Bruce Springsteen to Ryan Duffy, Housewives to Mob Wives, entrepreneurs to everyday folks, the people I’ve been able to work with truly humble me.
Even cooler is the success we've seen together. I’ve placed on-camera clients at cable and broadcast networks including CBS, Lifetime, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Bravo, MTV and VH1; production clients at cable and broadcast networks including ABC, Telemundo, Revolt, truTV, HGTV, Travel Channel and National Geographic; digital talent with online video distributors such as AOL, Yahoo! and uLive. I've also helped brands such as Mott's, Benefit Cosmetics, and Target fulfill their marketing campaign goals by working with unique and up-and-coming social influencers to drive their messaging to their intended audiences.
I’m especially proud of the work I’ve done with women in the industry, helping women of all shapes, sizes, ages, and backgrounds—many of whom do not fit the traditional mold for on-camera personalities—land high-level shows or hosting roles. I love pushing the boundaries of what people are consuming and the types of role models they’re seeing in media, and this is one of the coolest ways I’ve been able to do that.
I live my life—and do my work—by the motto “What would Beyoncé do?” What exactly does that mean? Well, besides regularly breaking out into spontaneous dance parties (when professionally acceptable, of course), I’m always looking for ways to push the industry forward and make my next project bigger and better than ever. I have an intense dedication to everything I do. I’m engaged in the entire process of getting creative products in the marketplace, and I follow through on the commitment to help the teams I work with see more success than they could have imagined.
And, just like the Queen B, I love to collaborate with other awesome people. I’m currently on the hunt for my next full time opportunity to team up with digital content creators, publishers, brands, or innovators to push content boundaries and engage audiences in unique ways. Whether that’s working for an advertiser, emerging brand, new content platform, or influencer, I’m excited to bring my strengths to help get what they have to say out into the world. Please reach out if you need someone like me on your team or if you want to talk shop!
